Hi, My name is Robin and I have been breeding dogs for over
40 years. I started breeding Poodles in the sixties and have also bred
Dobermanns and GSD's. In 1982 my ex husband decided he wanted a Rottweiler and
Sophie came into our lives. I quickly fell in love with the Rottweiler breed and that was
it.
"Sophie" Safida Aldora, (Dinperri Rhys x Aberbrothock Livia)
was born in Queensland, Australia. In 1984 we mated her to Rinderback Bosley. (Ostoja
Kojac x Willenstark Gretta) and kept 2 pups from a litter of 11. In 1985 we
purchased a one year old bitch, Iccara Alana (Wilostos Satan x Ooyella Candicans)
and in 86 another bitch puppy Ellenvanin Klienen (Jumius Pae Nobal x Kirlou
Ordame). In 1987 we returned to Canada again, taking with us 7 dogs, 3 cats and
a bird.
In 1988 we purchased a bitch puppy from Joe Balasa in Maple
Ridge B.C. "Kissy", Alouettes Velvet Cassiopia (Can. Ch Timberhaven Starbuck x
Can. Ch J B's Black Phantom Kaluha) was the foundation of my present day
Rottweilers. A friend handled Kissy to her Canadian Championship and in 1991 we
bred Kissy to "Beau", Can Ch Coultrain's Beauregard (Am. Can. Ch
Sandwuste's Dax of Trollegen x Can. Ch Heidegruen's Dustie Dawne). Beau was bred by Kathy
Cooper of Coultrain Rottweilers and owned by Carlo & Lisa Crema of Lionsgate
Rottweilers. Of the resulting litter I kept a dog and bitch puppy.
Towards the end of 91, I decided to return to Australia. As
my ex husband did not want to return, I very wisely left him in Canada and
brought Kissy and the 2 pups (Free & Faust) with me. My present day Rottweilers
are descendants of Kissy. Included in my breeding program is "Cagney", Glencoe
The Contender, (Aust Gr Ch Blackcombe La Forge CDX ET x Bernzhunde Klassy Kirra) the
beautiful boy on my portal page. Cagney was purchased from Ron McIlwraith & Paul
Davies of Glencoe Rottweilers. My handler, Carrie Kiely has taken him to his
Australian Championship. I have also purchased a bitch puppy from Pat Akesson-Romney
of Helsingborg Rottweilers, "Winnie", Helsingborg Willys Winna, (Willi Von
Lenthe (Imp Gmy) x Glencoe Back In Black).
I live in Armadale, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. I am primarily, a Breeder, and have never really got into the
show scene in a big way, due to work commitments first and later because of
health. I always strive to breed towards the betterment of the Rottweiler. I am
a Code of Ethics breeder and a member of The West Coast Rottweiler Club of
Western Australia and The Canine Association of Western Australia. I also help
out with Rottweiler Rescue along with a few Club members.

WHEN I AM OLD
When I am Old..
I shall wear Turquoise
and soft gray sweatshirts... and a bandana over my silver hair.....and I shall
spend my Social Security Checks on Sweet Wine and My Dogs.......and sit in my
house on my well-worn chair, and listen to my dog's breathing.
I will sneak out in the
middle of a warm Summer night and take my dogs for a run, if my old bones will
allow... and when people come to call, I will smile and nod as I show them my
dogs...and talk of them and about them...The Ones so Beloved of the Past and the
Ones so Beloved of Today....
I still will work hard
cleaning after them and mopping and feeding them and whispering their names in a
soft, loving way.. I will wear the gleaming sweat on my throat, like a jewel,
and I will be an embarrassment to all...and my family... who have not yet found
the peace in being free to have dogs as your Best Friends....
These friends who always
wait, at any hour, for your footfall...and eagerly jump to their feet out of a
sound sleep, to greet you , as if you are a God. With warm eyes full of adoring
love and hope that you will stay and hug their big, strong necks...and kiss
their dear sweet heads...and whisper to them of your love and the beautiful
pleasure of their very special company....
I look in the
Mirror...and see I am getting old.... this is the kind of woman I am...and have
always been. Loving dogs is easy, they are part of me, accept me for who I am,
my dogs appreciate my presence in their lives...when I am old this will be
important to me...you will understand when you are old....& if you have dogs to
love too.
